FAQs
Do I need prior experience to play?
No! We have a JV program to help get you started! This is one of the fastest growing sports in America right now. We don't expect our players to have experience, and we're ready to get you where you need to be in a focused but fun team environment!
Do I need my own stick?
We highly recommend players get their own stick if they can because it elevates their level of play and the sticks the school offers are basic models for learning, not optimal for playing.

Goggles vs. Headgear (helmet)?
Goggles do not cover the whole head. The headgear covers the head and eyes like a bike-helmet. Helmets are a great option if you have concern over concussions, but they are not required.
What cleats should I buy?
Lacrosse- specific cleats. They are often boots (high ankle). These cleats are highly recommended for optimal support and movement for lacrosse-level play. Any soccer cleat will suffice, but softball/track cleats are not allowed.

*Note that DPHS will provide sticks and goggles for all girls. Cleats and mouth guards are not provided, but they are required. It is highly encouraged that if a player is expected to play throughout high school that they invest in their own stick and goggles.
